Andrew is a partner at Linklaters, a U.S. federal income tax practice, which includes the representation of some of the world’s leading private equity firms and multinational corporate clients in connection with a wide range of activities. These include the structuring of complex and innovative investment funds and products, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, spin-offs, internal restructurings and the development of novel cross-border financing instruments. Andrew has also advised on some of the largest and most complex M&A transactions in the past decade, including multi-step LBO takeovers and distressed asset dispositions and restructurings. Andrew is recognized as a leader in the area of private investment fund taxation and regularly represents leading alternative investment asset managers, including private equity funds, hedge funds and funds of funds on all aspects of their investment management business. He is also a frequent speaker on federal income tax topics, including at such forums as the American Bar Association and is a member of the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association. |
