Early Awareness
Every student in grades 9 through 11 will understand the options available to them after they graduate high school (college and beyond) and receive supports needed to explore the right opportunities for them. We help students understand and embrace the value of college and provide constant exposure to college so that students gain fluency in college terms, can envision themselves attending college, know how to choose and apply to the right schools for them, and understand the connection between college and careers.
Personalized College Advising
Every WHEELS 12th grader will receive customized support to explore and understand their options, apply to college, and identify a post-secondary plan that is the best fit for them. Intensive, differentiated college and career counseling helps students understand the factors in school choice and successfully steer their way through the multi-step college and financial aid application processes.
Dedicated Alumni Support
By providing ongoing counseling and a combination of academic, financial and social/emotional support throughout their college experience, we believe more alumni will persist and graduate.
